Our results

The OPEX team has a clear strategic direction that enables it to effectively manage improvement initiatives. The defined mission, vision and values provide clear guidance to the team. The developed Target Operating Model allowed the team to transparently communicate its way of working to other functions, fostering trust and securing the necessary commitment from stakeholders. In addition, collaboration with both internal and external partners has improved because processes and roles are clearly structured and aligned.

The project portfolio planning approach enabled the OPEX team to clearly prioritize projects and develop a roadmap aligned with stakeholders. As a result, the team was able to efficiently manage internal resources and execute projects in a targeted manner. The capability matrix helped the team to develop skills in a targeted manner, ensuring long-term performance. Overall, the TOM provides the foundation for the strategic and sustainable development of the OPEX team.

The client's challenge

The client established an Operational Excellence (OPEX) team to initiate and manage the necessary improvements in production to meet the expected increase in order volume. However, the team lacked a clear strategic OPEX focus, as well as clear structures and guidelines, which hindered effective collaboration. This led to project management uncertainties and delays in implementing improvement initiatives.
